I was looking for a Montessori school for my son in Greater Noida, when I came across Samagra Montessori. My son likes independence and exercising ability to make his decisions, and I want to nurture this space for him. I am extremely grateful to have found the right school for him. With my first visit to Samagra, I knew this was the right place for him. It’s not just any Montessori. I admire Ms Julie’s way of thinking about life, her value system is much deeper which manifests in her interactions with children and her vision for the school. I was fortunate to observe her on several occasions; she interacts with children so skillfully and effortlessly. At the same time, I also see that there is a great deal of reflection and an openness to learning in her. She also creates a space for parents and opportunities for parents to contribute and be part of their child’s learning journey. In a sense, with Samagra, she really holds a space for a ‘village’, so home and school are not separate places, but come together for the child. I also admire Ms Ruchi’s gentle guiding energy which she brings into the classroom with her. Every interaction with every child is meaningful and thoughtful. She takes her time to observe, reflect and respond with deep care and understanding. Both Ms Julie and Ms Ruchi bring in a commitment to self-learning which are great qualities in an educator. I thank them both for their patience and care towards my son, and also towards all the children who are part of Samagra’s school environment. I also thank other staff at Samagra for bringing in a similar quiet, grounding energy.
